Я не говорю NIKAKие иностранные языки; однако, слово Microsoft делает. Это реально русско? Мне нужно один из моих русских друзей вне там препятствовал мне знать. Спасибо заранее!
Here is the paragraph above as I wrote it, "I do not speak any foreign languages; however, Microsoft Word does. Is this really Russian? I need one of my Russian friends out there to let me know. Thanks in advance!"
As it says I do not speak any other language, other than English and Geek, so how did I write that paragraph? Not I, but Microsoft Word did it. I am using Office 2010 which includes the capability of translating from one language to another.
This feature originally came into being with Office versions 2003 and 2007. However, it was extremely awkward to install and use. With Office 2010 it is built right in and works well. It allows you to translate your document from the language it is written in to one of over 20 others. A few of the languages are Arabic, Chinese, Dutch, Spanish, Thai and Turkish along with a few diverse dialects thrown in.
If you are currently using Office 2003 or 2007 never fear. All you need to do is search online for, "Microsoft Translator installer for office 2003" and you can install it on your system.
The Word program does not actually compose the translations. What it does is ask your permission to send the document to the "WorldLingo Service", worldlingo.com. It sends it in an unencrypted format which means that someone could possibly intercept your text through the net and gain possession of that information. This is highly unlikely but it is possible. I wouldn’t recommend sending top-secret material through the system but day-to-day things are probably OK. The choice is yours.
To use the service in Office 2010 click on the Review command tab, then go to either the Language or Proofing group. The group you have will vary as to which version of Office 2010 you have, i.e., Student, Business or Professional. You will see a "Translate" button. When clicked a Research pane will open on the right side of your document window. Use the dropdown arrows to choose both your "From" and "To" languages; although the "From" will be preselected.
Then click on the Translate the whole document" link and wait just a few seconds. Exactly how fast it will finish the translation depends on several things. The first is which language you choose, next is how much text is in the document, and finally the speed of your internet connection.
Also, I hope that someone would tell me how accurate the translation at the beginning actually is. I am sure it isn’t perfect but does it have an intelligent, similar meaning?
