We take a look at some of the issues faced by Nexus 7 (2013) users …
Source: 5 common Problems with the Nexus 7 (2013) and how to fix them
Sort of cracks me up. I had the “screen will not rotate” issue with my Nexus 7 (2013) and search all over for a fix.
I finally could find nothing that helped and called Google Support. They asked me to do everything I had already tried so it was not fixed. I asked how much it would cost to repair it, since it was no longer under warranty. The answer…”$100.”
So I said thanks and hung up.
Last night I am searching for more information and find this site. One of their final suggestions was:
- A DIY solution involves placing the tablet face down on a flat surface, and gently press down around the “n” and the “s” of the Nexus logo on the back. You can also attempt to fix it internally on your own by using the information here and here. But this method isn’t recommended as it may void your warranty, and could cause other issues if you’re not careful. You’re always better off getting it repaired by a professional.
And guess what, it worked like a charm? Pushing down on the “N” and “S” did the trick.
So I learned to use Google better before you let Google use you. (I am a Google Fanboy still but I like free fixes.)
