Welcome back for Part 2 of all the links I used in my articles last year. If you missed it the first part is here. Some of these link to cloud services, others to applications, and others that I believe may be beneficial for you today. Also, thanks for the emails I continue to receive. I enjoy talking to you (and getting new article ideas from you). So please keep them coming!
If you see something below of interest, check it out. If you find an error, email me and point that out also, I appreciate it. I sometimes receive a reader email correcting something I mistyped. Probably due to my fat fingers.
Below are the ones I originally wrote about. I have shortened the longer addresses using my “ghtech.site” shortener. Click links given below to visit the sites.

- Learn Out Loud, learnoutloud.com. This is where you can find almost any podcast you would care to listen to. Check it out for your favorite person or topic.
- The Way I Heard It with Mike Rowe, mikerowe.com/podcast. One of my favorite podcasts to listen regularly.
- Sites to Review for Digital Election Information, AARP.org/elections, U.S. Election Assistance Commission (EAC.gov), Factcheck.org, NewsLit.org, Pew Research Center (pewresearch.org), Vote411.org, and VoteSmart (votesmart.org).
- Zero-Day Vulnerability/Exploits, ghtech.site/zeroclick. Find out more about them and how they could affect us all.
- Thunderbird, thunderbird.net. This is a standalone email application you can use on your computer. It allows you to read, save, respond to any of the numerous email clients like Gmail.com, Yahoo.com. It is clean and easy to use, with a tremendous about of information about it online.
- Ron’s 30 Session Google Training, ghtech.site/ron-youtube. My free lessons on how to set up and use all of Googles products, with an emphasis on Gmail. It is from a couple of years ago, but most of it is still fine to use.
- Microsoft Teams, microsoft.com/teams. One of Microsoft’s answers to meetings during Covid-19 that is now still in use…a lot by many people.
- Google Account Information, myaccount.google.com. Here you can find out and control much of what Google knows about you. You should definitely visit here, on at least, an annual basis to make adjustments.
- Cloud Storage Services. Dropbox, dropbox.com, Google Drive, drive.google.com. Two of the more popular online cloud storage services. Plus another of my favorites, Sync, ghtech.site/sync use this link for extra storage for free, if you sign up while there (Yes, I get some extra too.).
- Cryptomator, cryptomator.org. This encrypts your cloud files on any service for excellent security. It creates a document “vault” and locks access to them with a password that only you have. Make sure it is a strong password, as with all passwords.
- AskLeo.com. A site online that an acquaintance of mine, Leo Notenboom, is the caretaker of. Check it out and in particular this video (youtu.be/jnoRbnyD4M4) regarding Cryptomator. He also has an excellent podcast, “TEH Podcast,” yes the spelling is correct.
- Windows 11 Taskbar, ghtech.site/W11-02. This is one of my articles that can be very useful for you when personalizing your Windows 11 Taskbar. Take a look, listen, and learn!
- On The Farm Radio, onthefarmradio.com. A friend of mine, Jeff Ishee has a great program that targeted to listeners in the rural and agricultural community. He is now on almost 100 different radio stations around the Eastern US.
- Surfshark, ghtech.site/surfshark. This is one of the better VPNs out there and I use it. A VPN stops outsiders from being able to secretly get your usernames and passwords from sites you visit while on any internet-connected device if you are not at home. If you use the provided link, you and I both get some free extra time if you purchase Surfshark while there.
More to come next week!
