Apple’s WWDC Conference Today: iOS 7, Mac OS X Previews, New MacBooks Expected
Apple’s World Wide Developers Conference is today at 1:00 pm EST.

Apple is not expected to release the next iPhone or iPad at the event, but only talk about the software that will be coming for them later this year. Apple, might however, discuss its rumored iPhone trade-in program.

iPhone 4 imports banned in U.S. patent case
June 4 – The U.S. International Trade Commission said it is banning imports of Apple’s iPhone 4 and iPad 2 3G after determining the devices violate a patent held by rival Samsung Electronics.

The ruling, issued Tuesday in Samsung’s patent lawsuit against Apple, could end Apple’s ability to sell the older versions of the iPhone and iPad in the U.S. because they are assembled in China.

Apple says it plans to appeal. President Obama has 60 days to invalidate the order.

The panel issued a limited import ban and a cease-and-desist order for AT&T models of the iPhone 4 and iPad 2 3G, which are still made. IPhone 3GS and iPad 3G, which are no longer made, were also cited in the ruling.

New Child Abuse Ad Has a Hidden Message Only Kids Can See
The ANAR Foundation is trying something called lenticular printing — which has the ability to display different messages at different depths or angles — to create outdoor signs that appear differently to adults and children.

Adults walking by the signs will see the message, “Sometimes, child abuse is only visible to the child suffering it,” along with a photo of a child. But when the sign is viewed from the average height of a 10-year-old, the sign’s message reads, “If somebody hurts you, phone us and we’ll help you.” They’ll also see the same child, but this time with a bruised face and a bloody lip. ANAR’s hotline number appears on the ad, which youth can contact for immediate counseling.

Robotic Flies Robotic Flies from Harvard
Last summer, in a Harvard robotics laboratory, an insect took flight. Half the size of a paper clip, weighing less than a tenth of a gram, it leapt a few inches, hovered for a moment on fragile, flapping wings, and then sped along a preset route through the air.

Like a proud parent watching a child take its first steps, graduate student Pakpong Chirarattananon immediately captured a video of the fledgling and emailed it to his adviser and colleagues at 3 a.m. — subject line: “Flight of the RoboBee.”

Are you a Spy? quickforget.com
Type your secrets on this site, it creates a link you can share with someone else. You set an expiration number of views or number of hours and after that time period it will no longer be accessible. It will be forgotten.

Of course, my thought is that they have your secret so it better not be about any criminal activities.

Have a great month until next time!
